International agencies and project coordinators working on EU-funded programmes in Bosnia and Herzegovina need a local partner who understands how these projects work. Someone who knows the visibility guidelines, meets reporting deadlines and handles all logistics on the ground. This is what MICE.BA does.
Here is one example of that work in practice.
About the RomanWinesDanube Project
RomanWinesDanube is an Interreg Danube Region Programme project co-funded by the European Union. It develops a marketing framework for sustainable cultural tourism along the Roman Imperial Routes and Danube Wine Road. Partners from nine countries are involved: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary and Germany.
The project builds on an existing certified route and creates transnational partnerships for developing tourism products rooted in cultural heritage.
In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the coordination sits with the Office for European Integration of the Government of West Herzegovina County. MICE.BA was engaged to manage all project events on the BiH side.

What MICE.BA Delivers on This Project?
MICE.BA handles planning, event logistics and delivery for all project activities on the BiH side. All outputs and reports are produced in Croatian and English, in line with donor requirements.
The scope of work covers organisation of four activities:
- Product club meetings for tourism stakeholders: Four smaller working sessions bringing together professionals from the tourism sector to develop and refine the project’s tourism offer;
- Forum on Sustainable Tourism at the Mostar International Fair: A larger public event gathering domestic and international participants interested in cultural tourism development in the region;
- Cultural heritage product club meeting: A focused working session on cultural heritage as a tourism resource, bringing together key stakeholders from the sector;
- Closing conference: The final project event will present results, encourage cross-border cooperation and increase the visibility of project achievements among stakeholders across all nine partner countries.
What Project Managers Get When They Work with MICE.BA?
Managing events within an Interreg programme requires precision. EU visibility guidelines apply to every printed item, every banner and every communication. Reporting deadlines are fixed. Stakeholder lists need to be coordinated in advance. And when something changes at short notice, which it always does in international projects, someone needs to handle it without disrupting the rest of the programme.
MICE.BA brings 17 years of experience in organising events for EU-funded projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Montenegro. We know the procedures. We know the timelines. We take full responsibility for the logistics so that project coordinators can focus on the content and the results.
One contact. One contract. Reporting in English and local language.
