When an EU-funded project runs across 26 municipalities, the event logistics become a project in themselves. Each location has its own local community, its own dynamics and its own technical conditions. Managing that consistently, across all 26 locations and over a two-year period, requires a local partner with real experience on the ground.
This is one of those projects.
About the HeRuDNet Project
REDAH – Association for Regional Development of Herzegovina, received EU funding to establish a Rural Development Network in the Herzegovina region. The founding members of the network are civil society organisations operating across Herzegovina. The project runs under the EU4CS programme, which supports existing and newly established civil society networks.
The goal is straightforward: connect civil society organisations, strengthen their capacity and build a functional network that supports rural development across the region.
Project details:
Project: Herzegovina Rural Development Network (HeRuDNet)
Programme: EU4CS Support for Civil Society Organisation Networks, EU co-funded
Client: REDAH – Association for Regional Development of Herzegovina
Focus: Rural development and civil society capacity building
Implementation period: March 2025 to December 2026
What MICE.BA Delivers on This Project?
MICE.BA was engaged as the event management partner for the full duration of the project. We plan, coordinate and deliver every project event across 26 towns and municipalities in the Herzegovina region. We take over the full logistics and operational support for the REDAH team, so that the project coordinators can focus on content and outcomes.
The events we manage include:
- Multi-day workshops for civil society organisations: Two-day and three-day training workshops for civil society representatives, held in different locations across the region;
- Network Assembly and steering committee meetings: Formal governance meetings for the HeRuDNet network, coordinated with all relevant stakeholders;
- Info days and press conferences in local communities: Public-facing events that communicate project activities and results to local audiences;
- Roundtables and thematic events: Focused working sessions on specific topics related to rural development and civil society cooperation.
All activities are designed to strengthen collaboration between civil society organisations and build capacity for rural development across Herzegovina.Trebate pomoć u provedbi aktivnosti na EU projektima?
Why Local Knowledge Matters in a Project Like This?
Organising events in 26 different locations is a logistical challenge that requires more than a general event management approach. Every municipality has its own contact points, its own available venues and its own way of doing things. Local knowledge shortens planning time, reduces the risk of operational problems and helps build relationships with local communities that make future activities easier.
MICE.BA has worked across Bosnia and Herzegovina for 17 years. We know the region. We know the venues. And we know how to get things done in places where not everything is available at short notice.
